  • I was born at Martin Army Hospital, Ft. Benning, Georgia
  • Attendant at my birth: Dr. Russell A. Acree, Captain, Medical Corps, U.S. Army1
  • Mom and Dad lived at 21-B Victory Apartments, Columbus, Chattahoochee County, Georgia

  1. Dr. Acree received his A.B. degree from Valdosta State College and the M.D. degree in 1960 from Medical College of Georgia. He interned at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D. C, from 1960 to 1961 and then served in the U. S. Army at Martin Army Hospital in Columbus from 1961 to 1963. Acree entered private practice in Hahira, Georgia, and remained there until 1980. ↩︎
