One of the Romine Family Reunions was started by Charlie Romine and his children in 1962. They enjoyed it so much, that in 1964, Hugh sent letters to all the Romine’s he could contact. The reunion was held at Platte National Park at Sulphur, Oklahoma. The date was the 4th Sunday in June. Each family brought their own food, then was placed on tables. Of course the food was wonderful, but everyone was so busy talking, getting acquainted and renewing fellowship they hardly had time to eat. Later the date for the reunion was changed to the second Sunday in July.
