For my birthday, my Mom wanted to treat me to a nice experience. We spent a couple of days at the Ojai Valley Inn, which is a VERY nice place.
At the hotel, there was a masseuse. I took advantage. It helped a lot. Best massage ever.
On my 57th birthday, I had squid-ink pasta for dinner which has a rich, briny flavor and pairs well with seafood. When I saw it on the menu, I had to order it. It was fantastic. I asked my friend Tony Annunziato, who is an Italian food distributor, and he told me that it was a common dish served in nice restaurants.
