Dayspring Christian Fellowship

March 1999 – September 2000

A 30-member church contacted FBCRC and asked for some help. Their pastor had left, and they needed someone to fill-in for a month, while they found someone else. I volunteered. 1.5 years later, I realized a few things: (1) it’s important to ask lots of questions before you commit to an unknown situation (2) don’t hesitate to admit that things aren’t going well (3) don’t leave a mess for the next guy, stop perpetuating bad-behavior. After 1.5 years, I closed the church, gave away all the church money/assets to other ministries/churches. I found places for all the church members to go once our church was closed. I did everything I could to put everyone on a new path of spiritual growth and health, which meant leaving some old things behind.
