2019 – 2023
- A few years into the business development of CSWU, I focused entirely on helping entrepreneurs in developing countries to start their own businesses, by offering the highest quality training at the cheapest possible price. The curriculum was from Chris Black, who had 25 years experience training business startups in South Africa. Unfortunately, his 1-month of classroom instructions were delivered in 3-ring binders and 600 pages of printed material. This wasn’t going to survive very far into the 21st century. It also would scale up beyond what an individual person could deliver. I felt online “virtual training” was the answer. If it wasn’t for Chris Back, I wouldn’t have made such an investment in the Middle East/Africa. He is a lifelong friend.
- In 2019, I decided that adopting the DBA (Doing Business As) of “GEO” would be useful. GEO had the following Business Partners: Gold Youth (Cape Town, South Africa), Joe Branch and Nate Leaders (Tunis, Tunisia), Tear Fund (Amman, Jordan), Youth With A Mission (Worcester, South Africa), City Mission (Cape Town, South Africa) and Dynamic Business Startup Program (Johannesburg/Cape Town, South Africa).
Hi Van,
I sent you a linked message recently. I was wondering about you, how you are doing, and what’s been happening with geo.partners. Are you in a new phase of life?
All the best.
Doug
