Camping in the Flat
Contrary to what some people think, Kansas is not the flattest state. A Geographical Review survey reported that Kansas actually ranks as the 7th flattest state in the US. With that said, enjoy these campsite pictures where a marble wouldn’t roll from one side to the other.
In all fairness… the campsite was easy and convenient. The weather was cool, with a nice breeze. Overall, I have no complaints.
I basically had the whole place to myself.
I was pretty close to the water.
According to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (a completely unbiased source of information about Kansas) Cheney State Lake is considered one of the 10 best sailing lakes in the US. They definitely have solid self-esteem.
